I don't find any other relevant event log entries. Has anyone run into this before and resolved it? Could it be a coincidence that there's a legacy service with the same name or is this from previous installs that failed do to the service not starting? If this doesn't help, you can post your code here so others can take a look. Browse other questions tagged windows-7 windows-services timeout or ask your own question. It's probably an unhandled exception. I've checked the event logs on the computer, and it doesn't give any additional information other than it didn't hear back from the service in the 30 second requisite time frame.
