Windows Hal Error 12
I only found this error because my system crashed so I was browsing through events searching for the one that caused my crash but this wasn't it. It's a $4 item.The below suggestion is a long shot for a possible workaround if you ae not using RAID. I suggest you can contact the Gigabyte support to find a version which is perfect for your model. Please try the request again. You can cause more problems than your trying to fix unless of course you really know what you're doing. So if they don't readily fix it once known then it is more of a problem than they probably realize or will admit to. Summary:The HAL error/warning although irksome, is harmless in Windows 7 & earlier.
There really is no conflict or error and can be considered harmless and ignored.* *Saying an error is harmless and can be ignored is hard for me to do since An error (403 Forbidden) has occurred in response to this request. This checksum process enables Windows to detect memory corruption and report any corruption as an error in the system event log. Be sure to backup your data.
