I Check back every Monday for a new Question and Answer session, and during the rest of the week for his other technical insights. So I deleted it and rebooted. I have this exact issue with the event logs not working. I was able to add my account and tick all the box's for the folders but it would not apply to all files and subfolders. I do need help with this as i wanted to check my event logs for a reason. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated. You need to reinstall VS2008SP1 to update team explorer. Finally we had to deploy the site by moving the content database of the sharepont site from the staging to live enviornment.
