Still getting the dreaded err msg. Followed your directions and it worked like a charm! In a very general sense it is due to there being a removable drive in your system that doesn’t have media in the drive. It could be a Windows update (helloooooo Microsoft are you listening?), but to be fair it could have been an upgrade to some other software that caused it.
I recently installed a USB Mobile Internet dongle and kept getting the 'Exception...' message. Hence it's throwing up the error message. To add to everything said, I encountered the parameters 75b6bf7c, the '7' being where the '9' was in the discussed parameters. The drive letter change did not appear to work but the registry edit has stopped it.
