Happy to see a response to my post, I promptly replied. Accessinghttps://wsus2.xxxx.xx:8531/selfupdate/wuident.cablink gives me a certficate warning which I don't get on other servers. I deleted the softwaredistribution folder, forced the client to detect and report, used the Microsoft fixit tool, all that garbage. this page I'll take a WIN where I can get them. :)Oh, I don't question it...but I always wonder why.
Install back the windows component “Update Root Certificates”. 2. On the client I have the server certificate in the Local Computer Trusted Root CA and Automatic Updates Service Trusted Root CA certificate stores. My certificate is valid and the clocks on the computers in my test environment are all within 2-3 minutes of eachother.
Do I need to import the certificate into anywhere else?

Such as a couple 200s (for selfupdate check) and a few 403s (for not being able to authenticate on the ssl required directories). Onlineupdate throughMicrosoft update site works. Get More Info Our DC's are NT 4.0 based, not my choice at all, so hopefully im not going to have to do this on all of our machines. 0 LVL 9 Overall:
