Fond So I then reset the BIOS, disconnected (at the MB), the external peripherals - eSATA and USB header for the front USB panel. I took out the DVD disk (which I learned from another 0x80070570 error when the setup used the DVD to expand the files) and pressed the Install button. I have not tried to reproduce this error as I just want a working system :P Be interested to know if this easy solution works for anyone else. The install should get past your extraction point (somewhere between 20 - 30%) and complete the installation successfully.I hope this helps.... Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. I dug up an old XP disk Tonight I tried running clean setups from both flash and (retail media) DVD with the same result of this error about 5% of the way in on two separate drives. Decided to upgrade to Windows 7 since I prefer that anyway (and hoping it would solve the problem) and it gave similar corrupt files error messages during install.

I was able to take the original vista sp1 wim, and place it on a Vista SP0 install disc from a Dell Vista 32bit Business cira 2006 Disc .

I'm pressing control +F keys left, right and centre, taking out RAM sticks, disabling EVERYTHING in BIOS. At about 10% or so of the install I get that error code: 0x80070570... I have gotten the same error several times, after changing from a USB mouse to PS-2, I started getting the error at 18% (it was at 9% with a USB installed. The best file I downloaded was Windows 7 Ultimate - Januari2010 and the file was 3.3 GB.
I selected the Repair option. Loading... What am I doing wrong? first i googled the filename to find the correct md5sum, and then found out the iso was corrupt.
