The Windows 7 installer does not recognize USB 3.0 ports, it only has the drivers for the 2.0, hence the error message you are getting. I have even tried to load the drivers using the Repair Windows as part of the install process.
good luck ! Apparently the Win7 install media doesn't have native support for USB3.0. Thanks a lot mate! I could get it installed but when it asked for a name, I was stuck.
My install.wim contains only Windows 7 Professional at index 1, so that one's ok.
