I also live there and have tried many codes with no luck. Not sure if you could copy the guide data over? Started the object store recovery in task scheduler for media center 4. I am running Win 8.1 and had to slightly adjust directions getting to the Task Scheduler but found ObjectStoreRecoveryTask ok.

Based on post elsewhere, "added missing channel" to guide. 8.1 now appears in the guide but "no data available" shows. my review here If not, I would look at removing the media center feature and re-adding it.
