Brand new slipstreamed SP3 would not get past the ASMS error. or read our Welcome Guide to learn how to use this site. When I tried to install Windows Xp Pro on a computer I had changed the hard drive on, I got this error massage saying this. "Installation failed: D:\i386\asms Error message: The Your cache administrator is webmaster.
I restart the computer and it repeats the last two errors, leaving me with an unuseable laptop. I have tried different Windows XP disks and different CD drives to no avail. Check the box to enable APM and hopefully that will sort the problem out. Yes the drive was formatted.That process was done at the beginning of the XP-PRO installation before i got to the actual installation of the xp software. Maybe the computer's cd-rom drive I used to burn the iso for windows is corrupt. Download File I386 For Window Xp All rights reserved. Hence going back to XP.

now, unless you do actually have two different installation errors going on here, I would guess that maybe the Encryption on top of the Imaged machine was the cause.
